I thought I’d post the black and white version of this, as this piece and the covers I’ve been doing have given me a chance to explore my digital color process. I’m finding interesting solutions or myself, but still lose a little bit in the final, like the books in the back, the antlers and fish hooks, and the mad dog in the back. Important things like slowing down in the thumbnail and pencil stage would save some of that heartache in the end. Talking to myself helps too — I’m not crazy! This jacket is a little tight though.
